Multnomah Falls

(This picture was actually at the end of the hike, cue the sassy Tessa face.)

A few weeks ago Cory had a conference in Chicago so after we dropped him off at the airport, and played at IKEA for awhile, the girls and I went to Multnomah Falls. I have quite a few memories of coming up here to visit my cousins and going to see the falls. It was fun to go as an adult and see how the memories compared!
We all had a great time! It was a cool day so I thought we'd see if we could hike to the top, fully expecting for the girls to complain and get tired. They totally made it, all on their own! So many "real" hikers were hiking and jogging past us on their way up and they were so surprised when we met them at the top.

The girls loved all the attention they got for their "miraculous feat", as Emory called it.
I loved the views and greenery, they were literally breathtaking.

This freaked me out ~ they wanted to touch the water but we were only a hundred yards from the waterfall drop-off! 542 ft. seemed like a long ways down so I let them touch the water, and we ran back to the trail.

All in all, they hiked almost 3 miles and didn't ask to be carried once!

Now That's Funny!

I LOVE LDS Living Magazine! I cancelled my subscription a couple years ago, but clearly need to renew as this article made me laugh, multiple times, out loud. Even if you don't have time to read the whole thing, the first part few paragraphs offer so much enjoyment. (There's also a killer story at the end.)

My People

We had lots of fun when we were with "my people," we did so much I have a hard time remembering. Campfires, bowling, swimming basically everyday, and eating out at some of our favorite places.

Climbing Grandpa's fruit trees.

The many amazing feats of Emory the Fish.
Nothing scares this girl.

Dinner and swimming with the Radfords. The girls especially loved cousin Issac.

Lagoon, or "Wemember that weally fun pwace where Gwandma taked us? Tessa was a little chicken but slowly warmed up to most rides. Emory loved anything and would have gone on everything, she just need to grow taller faster.

Super good times and thanks to all the family!

Drive me CRAZY!

After our drives, back and forth from Utah, we were Driven Crazy - literally. It was great to go home, but it was even better to come back Home. Here's an account of the time we spent with "Cory's People" as Tessa called them. (All the quality photos were taken by our new sister-in-law, who we all had a good time getting to know better!)

Cory's sisters and brother-in-law ran the Wasatch Back Ragnar Relay and we went to Park City to cheer them on and chill.

We took some family photos with the Maughans, but first met Uncle Luke's snake Nagini. Tess was not a fan, Emory thought it was cool, and though my face says otherwise, I didn't altogether love the experience.

Family Photo: Us, Luke, Kylee, Grandpa (fresh off a farming work day), Austin, Kayla, Sierra, Kellie, Adrian, Mahal, Grandpa Bruce.

The best part of this picture is that I doubt Emory actually meant to do this face.

More family photos, this time with the Hulses.
Us, Uncle Chase, Luke, Kylee, Kayla, Adrian, Mahal, Kellie, Grandma Hulse, Tina, Tracy, Grandma Lisa, and Papa Flint.

Priceless.

Camping with the Daltons.

Our favorite-est girl!

Cory and I on a Rhino ride.

Photo shoot on Grandpa Maughan's farm.
All in all good fun, aside from the dog we saw eating an unidentifiable carcass and the allergies.

The Quilts of Doom.

Try not to pay attention to the un-bound edges.

Thanks to Kylee for taking the time to take these photos!
