Emory turned 8 on June 10th, 2013. The weekend before, we had a party with some of her friends. Nothing big, since we were getting ready for a trip to Utah, but still fun! She had our usual gang, the Scotts and Browns, but also had some of our fun neighbors, Brandon/Ethan and Cody/Camille. We went for a Slumberless Slumber Party theme. Everyone wore PJs and brought a book to donate to Doernbecher. We had some fun old school games like Hanging Donut, Pictionary, Red Rover, Pictionary, and lawn Twister.
After that we had an ice cream sundae bar and then popped in Ella Enchanted (Emory recently finished the book, and wanted to watch it). It was a fun night with friends, and I officially hate friend birthday parties. I don't know how people do them every year?!
On her actual birthday she got a surprise breakfast in bed of Bacon Waffles. I love this girl's wacky sense of taste, she loves the strangest things that you think kids shouldn't!
Fischer was there!
A couple days after Emory's birthday we flew to Utah and on the following Saturday she was baptized by Cory. We had lots of friends and family come and support, it was such a great day! She had such an amazing, spiritual and emotional experience and it was the best feeling that two parents could ask for!
