March

To start Spring off, our Ward tried to lessen the dreary, Oregon blues and so we hosted a Luau.

Emory's Activity Days group did a Maori dance.

The 1st Grade put on a spring play called The Mice from Space, I think. She was an adorable Earth Mouse. One of her parts was to sing while hula-hooping, which turned out to be more difficult than she thought. What a little preformer!

A silly selfie session on the trampoline on another beautifully warm day.
I remember this day very clearly. Fischer was napping, I was {supposed} to be making dinner and the girls wanted me to jump on the trampoline.  I'm so glad I said YES! We jumped and laughed and took pictures and then had hot dogs for dinner and life was perfecto.

Trip to the beach and a giant jerky stick from Tillamook!

We went to a beach north of Tillamook called Pirate Cove, I think. It was probably my favorite beach we've ever been to. It was sunny and warm and perfect!

February, Valentine's and Katewyn

February was full of adventures! We had went to Corvallis for a fun day at the Theatre with Megan and Maria. We saw a community production of Fiddler on the Roof and is was really good. We all loved it and I need to take the girls to the theatre more often. We also had a sunny day at the Zoo with friends. Life seems so much better when the sun is out!

Katelyn was coming to visit the PNW, to spend some time with Josh and Sydney and then with us. Josh and Sydney gave us an awesome Christmas gift this year, they bought us tickets to Monster Jam and the day was Valentine's Day. Kate planned to ride the bus down from Seattle and we would pick her up after the Jam.

Monster Jam is like nothing we've ever done before and it was spectacular! Thank goodness that I thought to bring ear plugs for all of us. If Fischer didn't have an obsession before, he surely did after. Grave Digger won, obviously, and a love story began.

While Kate was here we went bike riding, to Pacific City and Tillamook Cheese Factory.

A trip to the dentist and a crooked smile.

Emory had a project, a biography, due that month too. She chose Wilson "Snowflake" Bentley, who I knew nothing about. She did a great job researching and we threw this costume together for the Wax Museum portion of the biography. Other students from the school were able to walk around and push the "button" and then the Wax character would recite a little speech about their character's life and works. She had a great time and she really got into it.

New Year

After all our fun skiing in Utah, we thought we'd try our hand at Mt. Hood.  Our friends, the Wallaces, gifted us couple night's stay at their time-share in Welches. We hot-tubbed the night we arrived, got delicious food and last minute, Cory invited some friends to join us.
I have NEVER been more wet skiing in my life. Our kids are skiing troopers and they were done after 30 minutes. We made the best of it and huddled around the fire trying to dry out gear and eating and taking pictures.
We did eat at an amazing restaurant though, twice. It's not like us to revisit a restaurant, especially on vacation, but the first night made in impression... on our Bellies! Skyway Bar and Grill, we had mac and cheese and fried pickles and some other delicious stuff.

On our way home from the mountain, we visited the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum. We hadn't been back since I was pregnant with Fischer so he thoroughly enjoyed it.

After Christmas and New Year - Part 2

These are the pictures our sister-in-law Kylee took during the trip.
