St. Georg-itty George

My sister-in-law, Amanda, was so kind and asked her Grandma if we could stay in her house for a weekend during Spring Break. Her Grandma "snow birds" in Arizona for the winter, HA!
It was just like the olden days, heading down with the family and just enjoying a fun and warmish weekend.

This was the view from the backyard.

Cory is a master of all games and schooled us in horseshoes.

I want to hold it!

My kids could not have been happier!! A swing set, places to explore and lizards to chase (and catch- or just rip off their tails.

The Lizard.

We hunted this guy for, no joke, at least an hour, if not more. He was huge, and so pretty. And we all learned how big of babies we are. It was a struggle for any of us to muster the courage to pick him up. Finally, Kate was "strong enough", but then she shortly lost control and chucked it at Amanda.
I sure hope I washed out that microwave cover.

The Crack.

Don't know how I've never been here, but it was, once again, right up my kids alley. Rocks for climbing galore and sand to dig in.

This is one tight crack and you wriggle your way along until you come out the other side. There were a couple times I felt very nervous and stuck, so I can't even imagine how Cory felt!
Fischer walked/crawled right through without a problem.

That rock climbing made us ultra sweaty, plus anything over 80 degrees is muy macho HOT to us Oregonians, so we went to the water.

 Sunday pictures.

After everyone else left, just the Maughans headed to Snow Canyon. We hiked and climbed and visited a lava tube. Southern Utah is one of my favorite places on earth!

Emory climbed up to this area where Pioneers carved their names into the stone.
